The day has finally come when Swapfig has turned four years old. It's rather hard to believe, but the site has been up and running for the last four years.

There hasn't been any time to celebrate, as I've been occupied behind the scenes - mainly with preparations for this year's Paredes de Coura Fan Weekend in Portugal. (If you're going to be there, and you're not a Bad Trader, disgruntled ex-user or an [censored], be sure to catch up with me.)

I did have time to produce a birthday cake (pictured above). It's nowhere near as grand as our previous offerings - somehow I'd managed to over-bake it - but it's a reminder of our humble beginnings as an experiment in Collectible Minifigure management.

Speaking of Collectible Minifigures: Series 17 was officially released today, and was available at LEGO retail stores first thing. For the first time since the Collectible Minifigures were launched, I'd managed to get a full set without obtaining any extras. I think it was a very fitting "birthday" present.

In addition, we've found out that Swapfig has reached its 4,000th completed trade! That means we've averaged just over 1,000 completed trades a year. Here's hoping that this trend continues although it's likely to be dependent on the appeal of Collectible Minifigures.

We couldn't have reached this milestone without Swapfig's users, regardless of donations or showing ads. We'd also like to thank Palace Designs (who hosts the site) and everybody who has supported Swapfig over the last four years.
