Swapfig News:

"Donember" on Swapfig.

Usually we ask people who use Swapfig to help us out by way of donations, or simply by using the site with adverts enabled. We've already mentioned how some - who believe we shouldn't make a cent - have complained about finding adverts on Swapfig "annoying" (word for word).

It's in direct response to those special people that we've decided to run a Donember campaign.

What is "Donember"?

All right, it's not the best name in the world. It's not even a good name!

Throughout the whole of December: instead of donating to Swapfig, we're challenging visitors and users to donate to charity on our behalf instead.

Long story short: we've had a challenging but very fruitful year on our end, and we can't think of a better way to end the year than by giving back. We thought it would be a great idea to support a good cause - or three.

Our nominated charities.

The charities for this year's Donember are Kidscape and Mind: the nominated charities of the person behind Swapfig.

To prove how serious we are about Donember: we're also going to donate every single penny of ad revenue in December to Fairy Bricks. (We made the decision to do this before the awful news about their being robbed.)

How you can be part of Donember.

Very simply: visit the Donember page (which currently replaces our usual Donate page), and choose one of our selected charities to donate to. Donate as little or as much as you want. As a bonus, you'll also have Donor status on Swapfig.

If you want to help us support Fairy Bricks, make sure you have Swapfig whitelisted in whatever software or plugin you use to block adverts. Encourage others to do the same.

Help Swapfig do more for charity and the Lego community in December, than those aforementioned special people do in an entire year.

Thank you!
